Objectives

The Peter Gilgan Centre for Women’s Cancers at Women’s College Hospital in partnership with Women’s College Hospital Breast Centre is hosting a hybrid Continuing Medical Education event designed to equip primary care providers with information on best practices in breast health. This one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada for up to 2.25 Mainpro+ Credits. Topics include screening updates, breast pain, benign breast disease updates, breast cancer risk reduction, genetics updates, breast cancer updates and surveillance post breast cancer. Physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and allied health professionals working in primary care are invited to attend. This hybrid event will promote breast health education: screening, diagnosis, treatment, surveillance and survivorship of various breast health concerns including cancer. We are pleased to welcome guests both:

  • Online via Zoom

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS HYBRID EVENT

Physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and allied health professionals working in primary care in Canada. Those considering working in primary care may also benefit. Patients are welcome to attend.

WHY ATTEND

Primary care clinicians face the overwhelming task of staying abreast of current research and best practices across many disciplines. This CME event (certification in progress) is designed to equip primary care providers with information on best practices that highlight the latest therapies, procedures, and diagnostics in breast care.
