Summary/Abstract
Better management of anxiety disorders and major depression has long been recognized as a key challenge within our Ontario healthcare system. There is significant variation in care quality across the province, necessitating significant use of acute care resources. Evidence2Practice Ontario has developed mental health related tools, namely, our Anxiety Disorders and Major Depression Tool for primary care, to improve clinician and patient experience through the development and implementation of standard tools for the diagnosis, treatment, management, and monitoring of anxiety disorders and/or major depression. The Evidence2Practice Ontario Anxiety Disorders and Major Depression Tool also aims to enhance patient care and improve patient experience and self-management through the digital integration of Anxiety Disorders and Major Depression Quality Standards and patient resources into point of care decision support tools and templates in the primary care setting. Evidence2Practice Ontario enables and supports integrated care delivery across the health system by aligning with the quadruple aim and with Ministry of Health and Ontario Health priorities.
