Job Description
The Beamsville Medical Centre Family Health Team (FHT) is seeking a well-rounded individual to join and lead their team as an Executive Director (ED). The ED will report to the lead physician and nine-member physician Board of Directors. The FHT currently has approximately 12,000 patients situated in West Niagara.
The main responsibilities would include:
- Human resources and office management (including managing non FHT employees at the Beamsville Medical Centre)
- Financial management including managing the FHT budget and overseeing physician billings
- Reporting quarterly and annual reports (including the yearly Quality Improvement Plan) to the Ministry of Health as required
- Developing and monitoring programs and services in collaboration with our allied health professionals
- Strategic planning and implementation
- Managing accounts receivables and payables
- Managing payroll
- Overseeing the online booking scheduler and office messaging system (Ocean)
- Health and Safety
- Monitoring building maintenance
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in business or health care administration or an undergraduate in a health services discipline. The individual should have previous experience working in a leadership role in a health care environment. Experience with payroll, OHIP billings, budgeting, information technology, financial reporting and accounting would be an asset. The ideal candidate should have exceptional interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills
