Clinic Director Beth Cowper-Fung and her GNPLC staff were literally jumping for joy after Health Georgina Chair Steve Jacobson officially handed over the keys last week to their new building at 21071 Dalton Rd. in Jackson’s Point.

“We’re just so excited to be in the new building,” said Cowper-Fung. “This has been a long time coming.”

Burlington FHT is a proud Burlington Ontario Health Team member.  Acting as the Implementation Funding Transfer Payment Agent and BOHT Remote Community Management Program Lead, we are pleased to support the BOHT System Navigation Program.

It has been a challenging 20 months, and primary care teams have been leaders.

Throughout this pandemic, teams adjusted to new circumstances and continued to provide comprehensive care while extending reach to support their communities. They were leaders in organizing assessment centres, conducting tests, and administering COVID-19 vaccines. They collaborated with their partners to help keep communities safe, while keeping their doors open to provide care to their patients and others who needed it most.

Congratulations to the eight new Ontario Health Teams and to our member teams that are engaged and participating in the development of OHTs. This list may be updated as more information becomes available.
