Dr. Mary-Kathryn Blackbyrne is a Family Physician practicing in Picton, Ontario and is a Board Member of the Prince Edward Family Health Team. Prior to entering medicine, Dr. Blackbyrne worked for Public Health Ontario in their Division of Surveillance and Epidemiology after obtaining her Master’s of Science in epidemiology. Her thesis focussed on breast cancer prevention in primary care and since then Dr. Blackbyrne has had a particular interest in primary care and prevention. Dr. Blackbyrne values high quality primary care for her patients and is excited about the expanded possibilities team based care offers while still maintaining the unique doctor-patient relationship that makes family medicine so special.
