The new Roulston's Pharmacy location in Tillsonburg has been selected to house the Oxford Ontario Health Team's unattached care clinic.

The clinic -- located at 671 Broadway St, Unit 112 -- is designed to support residents without access or unattached to a family doctor or nurse practitioner.

The Tillsonburg Unattached Care Clinic will be operated by the Ingersoll Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic in collaboration with Oxford Ontario Health Team partners. Also involved are the Town of Tillsonburg, Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital and the Thames Valley Family Health Team.

Stephanie Nevins, executive director for the Ingersoll Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic, said her team will “begin offering appointments in the coming months.”

The site will include a nurse practitioner, a registered practical nurse and support staff. The opening date for the clinic, as well as information on how to book appointments and hours of operation, will be shared later this year.

“This initiative is aimed at improving access to primary care for unattached patients in the community,” an Oxford Ontario Health Team media release stated. “The clinic will provide episodic care, chronic condition support, and preventative health services. The clinic will operate by appointment only and is not a walk-in or urgent care clinic.”

The Town of Tillsonburg is providing an estimated $140,000 for the project. During the town's 2025 budget deliberations, Coun. Kelly Spencer spoke of funds to assist healthcare needs in the community. “This is probably the best spent money because there are so many people suffering and worried and sick,” said the former registered nurse.

“A lot of people currently go to emerge and how much does that cost the province?”
