Job Description

The Southlake Academic Family Health Team (SAFHT) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursing Manager to join our family health team. As a Nursing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the highest level of patient care. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to excellence in nursing practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a team of 13+ nurses across four site locations, including hiring, training, scheduling
  • Enforce office policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practices
  • Manage nursing operating budget effectively
  • Plan and evaluate program strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure staffing levels meet program needs through recruitment and training
  • Facilitate nursing team meetings and oversee organization-wide vaccine initiatives
  • Monitor nursing service objectives and develop action plans based on performance metrics
  • Address team development needs and facilitate professional growth opportunities
  • Participate in program development and committee activities as required
  • Conduct research to uphold best practices and infection control standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Minimum five years of clinical experience; experience in primary care is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience as a Nurse Manager in a collaborative team environment
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Experience in fiscal management, program development, and evaluation
