The Kincardine Family Health Team is seeking an experienced and qualified individual to join our team in the role of Team Support (Medical Office Administration).

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Kincardine Family Health Team (KFHT) is a group of allied healthcare professionals with a mission to provide comprehensive patient care utilizing an interdisciplinary approach that is responsive to the needs of the community.

Team Support is responsible for handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and functions. They need to be highly efficient working with delegated direction and independently with little or no supervision. Team Support will help support Interdisciplinary Healthcare Providers (IHPs) with day-to-day functions including managing incoming referrals, scheduling appointments for patients, and assisting in program related duties. Team Support also greets patients and manages incoming emails, phone calls, and in person queries, assisting patients with system navigation and accessing appropriate health resources. Further job duties are listed below:

- Handle all correspondence, including telephone, email, fax and mail.
- Provide administrative support and perform clerical duties.
- Scan, fax and / or mail documents as required.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments / tests / follow-ups.
- Manage referrals.
- Chart patient related activities in electronic medical record, as appropriate.
- Share information collected from patients with the appropriate medical team members.
- Tidying, light cleaning, disinfecting as required.
- Monitor inventory of medical supplies and materials and order as required.
- Make recommendations for policy and / or procedure improvements.
- Participate in Team Meetings as needed.
- Assist in the management of waitlists for interdisciplinary programs
- Assist in the management of waitlist for patients needing a primary care provider and with administration of the unattached patient program
- Other duties as assigned.

- Kincardine Family Health Team is a Multi-Site organization, with team members working at the following locations based on organizational/coverage needs.
o Kincardine Family Health Team Main Office, Hawthorne Community Clinic

o Kincardine Family Health Team Satellite Site- Ripley Medical Clinic

o Port Elgin Family Health Network (Dr. Earl Health Centre)

Experience:
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Education / Specific Job Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in a health or office administration related field preferred.
- Electronic Medical Record experience is an asset (Accuro).
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Proficient in use of computers (Microsoft Office, Apple products) and other office equipment.
- Previous experience in handling confidential or sensitive information; knowledge of applicable data privacy laws.
- Able to maintain filing systems and basic databases.
- Able to manage time efficiently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.

Compensation: $22.13/hour – $23.99/hour
