Hosted by ODPRN
Objectives
The ODPRN Citizens’ Panel recently launched an initiative to raise awareness and understanding of current drug policy issues experienced by the general public by providing a platform for meaningful conversation between citizens of Ontario.
This Town Hall on Thursday March 23, 2023 from 12:00 – 1:30pm EDT will focus on experiences accessing treatment and services for depression, such as:
- Finding the right treatment (antidepressants and alternative therapies) for depression
- How the COVID-19 pandemic affected care and treatment for depression
- Side effects and long-term use of antidepressants
- Navigating when and how to stop antidepressants after they have been initiated
Individuals with depression and their family/caregivers are invited to share stories and raise questions on access to treatment and services for depression in Ontario. Dr. Noah Ivers will be available to answer questions and offer insight.
Register and let us know how you might want to participate (options for live, pre-recorded or written stories and questions).
This event is also open to anyone interested in listening and learning from those with lived experience.
