This series of multimedia modules, directed at community-based practitioners, provides current information about the consequences of use of antimicrobial agents, general principles for antimicrobial stewardship in primary care, as well as strategies to optimize antimicrobial use in a variety of common clinical scenarios.
This online, self-paced course aims to:
- Familiarize prescribers, pharmacists and others with the principles of antimicrobial stewardship and demonstrate the need for improved antimicrobial use in primary care;
- Provide primary care practitioners with the skills and knowledge necessary to ensure appropriate use of antimicrobial agents; and
- Familiarize primary care practitioners with additional resources available to support this area of practice.
