Membership Coordinator / Administrative Assistant – AFHTO (downtown Toronto)

Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Membership Coordinator / Administrative Assistant is responsible for ensuring administrative operations related to AFHTO’s members, events (including the annual conference attended by over 500 people from member FHTs), meetings and communications are fulfilled in a way that delivers value for members and contributes to the positive image of AFHTO and FHTs.  The Membership Coordinator / Administrative Assistant will also provide confidential financial and administrative support for the ED and the AFHTO Board of Directors to enable AFHTO to be as productive, efficient and responsive to member needs as possible.

The Association of Family Health Teams of Ontario (AFHTO) is the voice for Family Health Teams (FHTs) in Ontario.  AFHTO works with and on behalf of its members as the advocate, champion, network, and resource center for FHTs, to support them in improving and delivering optimal interprofessional care. Current membership comprises over 90% of Ontario’s 186 FHTs.

AFHTO is an organization in development.  This is the second staff position created in the organization; as a result, responsibilities are wide-ranging and there is ample opportunity to develop new and better ways of delivering value for members, in an environment that supports learning and improvement.

Remuneration reflects the salary grids established for Family Health Teams in Ontario.  In lieu of pension and benefits, an additional percentage of salary is paid.
