Nurse Practitioner
1 Full-Time
Work Location: Blind River
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide services to clients such as assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of minor illnesses and injuries
- Manage and monitor clients with stable chronic illnesses
- Provide health screening and assessment activities with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention
- Promote and participate in a multidisciplinary team approach
- Collaborate with providers and clients to ensure appropriate management, referral and responses to inquiries are provided
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Baccalaureate or Masters in Nursing.
- Successful completion of post-graduate Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current extended class registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current membership with RNAO, including professional liability insurance program
- Basic CPR certification.
- Current Ontario Drivers’ License.
- Experience with EMR would be an asset
- Demonstrated experience in Community and/or Primary Care Setting
- Demonstrated experience in the area of chronic disease management and prevention
- Bilingualism (English and French) an asset
- New grads are also welcome
