Northumberland Family Health Team
An exciting opportunity is now available for 1 Chiropodist (Full-time) to work in a collaborative model of care as part of an inter-disciplinary team led by committed family physicians in the Cobourg area. The new Northumberland Family Health Team (NFHT) will provide primary health care, including chronic disease management, health promotion and disease prevention to a rostered population within west Northumberland.
The Chiropodist will play an integral role in the care of the patients of the NFHT. The Chiropodist will collaborate with the physicians and interdisciplinary team to provide a full range of quality foot care to NFHT patients. An ongoing emphasis will be placed on the promotion of foot health
This position requires the ability to perform the full range of duties and responsibilities. You are an independent, creative and organized individual with strong oral/written communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, negotiating and computer skills.
Qualifications, Skill and Experience
- Preferred completion of Bachelor of Science and Graduate Advanced Diploma of Health Sciences (Chiropody) with two to three years of clinical experience.
- Licensed with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario as a Chiropodist
- Demonstrated experience in a Primary Care setting would be an asset
- Current Ontario Drivers’ License.
- Experience with EMR would be an asset
- Demonstrated experience in the area of chronic disease management and prevention
