The Canadian Obesity Network (CON-RCO) and mdBriefCase have launched the Obesity Knowledge Transfer Series (KTS), an international collaborative effort developed by world-renowned physicians (including several CON-RCO members) and tailored for Canadian medical practitioners. The web portal was built to allow the international scientific community to engage with regional experts, making the content relevant to local health care professionals.
Primary care physicians can earn up to 2 Mainpro-M1 credits from the College of Family Physicians of Canada by taking the online module, which uses case-based scenarios in two vignettes to help practitioners identify the root causes of obesity and individualize treatment for their patients. Allied health professionals and pharmacists can also participate. Users will require a free mdBriefcase account to access the program.
