There is an upcoming Healthy Work Environment workshop coming up on Monday December 5 which focuses on leadership and management that may be of interest to you. The workshop is led by Althea Stewart-Pyne, Program Manager at RNAO.
It will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in downtown Toronto.
This workshop is designed for nurses currently employed or aspiring to be employed in leadership and management. The concepts and theories presented in the workshop are supported with opportunities for discussion and application through the development of a personal action plan and group exercises.The workshop will use a framework you can apply to explore and enhance your leadership skills. There is a current need for leaders in the workplace and every nurse is a leader (formal and informal). Providing effective leadership in all sectors of nursing is a critical component of safe patient care, job satisfaction and nurse retention.
