Coffee Talk- Board of Directors Series

Miller Thomson’s Health Industry Group is proud to expand its value added offerings to include a new complimentary webinar series specifically for Boards of Directors and senior management of health service providers.

The health and social service sector is under increasing pressure for transparency, accountability and efficiency, placing greater demands on the fiduciary duties and oversight responsibilities of those serving as governors, who have to be increasingly mindful not only of the legal but also the reputational risks associated with their roles. The new Coffee Talk – Board of Directors Series will deliver education on governance and risk management best practices, legal developments impacting the health industry and strategies for overcoming challenges currently faced by Boards of Directors.

The 2017 Board of Directors Series schedule is as follows:
• May 25, 2017 – What Directors Need to Know – Enterprise Risk Management, presented by Joshua Liswood & Karima Kanani
• September 28, 2017 – What Directors Need to Know – Quality of Care, Privacy and Accountability, presented by Kathryn Frelick
• November 23, 2017 – What Directors Need to Know – Physicians and Other Professional Staff Issues, presented by Lisa Spiegel

Each session will be one hour in length from 12:00 p.m. -1:00 p.m.
