Call for Presentations
New Due Date: Friday, January 10th, 2014
Addictions and Mental Health Ontario is pleased to announce its 2014 Conference to be held at the Marriott Toronto Airport, Toronto, Ontario on May 25th, 26th, & 27th, 2014 followed by its bi-annual Community of Practice meetings on Wednesday, May 28th, 2014. Attended by over 300 delegates, our conference continues to grow and deliver important and dynamic information, as well as offering an excellent networking opportunity to all participants.
We invite you to submit a workshop abstract that conveys knowledge, experience or “perspectives” on a topic you, or your organization, recognizes as valuable to other service providers. There is a multitude of “hot topics” currently in the addictions and mental health sector and we are interested in selecting the most progressive, innovative and dynamic presentations and topics that will be favourably received by the field.
Among current issues of potential interest are: evidence-based practices, policy and advocacy issues, new developments in service provision, justice and addictions/mental health, youth, seniors/older adults, problem gambling, concurrent disorders, working with diverse populations, working with families, intensive community supports including housing, clinical management and case management, addiction and mental health services in primary care, peer support, practices in harm reduction and many, many more!
As well, we are continuing with presentations that inform strategies and practices to address management/leadership skills, governance, financial and human resource needs, health care transformation, quality improvements and service integration.
Presentations will be 90-minute sessions which allow for knowledge transfer, interaction and discussion. Proposals consist of a 300-word abstract that MUST include all of the following sections:
All proposals must be received by FRIDAY, JANUARY 10TH, 2014:
For further information please contact Janis Cramp at email@example.com or by phone at 1-800-965-3307.
We regret that not all proposals will be accepted due to space limitations. Workshops will be selected to ensure a comprehensive and dynamic program.
On behalf of Addictions and Mental Health Ontario thank you for your interest in our Annual Conference.
