The EMR Communities of Practice (CoP) are a forum where EMR vendors and users (physicians, QIDSS, IHPs & admin staff) collaborate to improve the use of EMRs to improve patient care, and collectively support the Quality Improvement Decision Support (QIDS) Program in advancing performance measurement and quality improvement in primary care.
The EMR CoPs invite all EMR users to experience the EMR CoP process in person, meet your colleagues face-to face, see how priority action items (EMR challenges) are being resolved, and have a chance to discuss new challenges that the CoP might take on. You don’t have to be a member of an EMR CoP to attend these meetings!
The following EMR CoP meetings will be hosted at the conference:

Interested in joining an EMR CoP or would like to know more—please contact email@example.com.
Currently, each EMR CoP has a lead from the AFHTO membership, at least one vendor representative, and anywhere from 15 to 85 members. The CoPs are supported by AFHTO staff who also take part in the discussions as active members of the community and ensure that all members of the CoP work effectively together to resolve mutually-agreed upon priority issues facing members using the EMR.
