Office Manager (Contract) – Southlake Academic FHT (Newmarket)

Position Title: Office Manager of Newmarket Physician Services

The Southlake Academic Family Health Team requires a full time Office Manager on a temporary contract (maternity leave) at our busy primary care clinic in Newmarket. The Office Manager, under the direction of the Executive Director, will be responsible for the supervision and management of our medical administration staff supporting 11 family physicians and our Family Medicine Residents. This individual will be responsible for such things as staffing; scheduling; process compliance, monitoring and improvement; and meeting facilitation/coordination and will be required to work collaboratively with patients, physicians, other clinicians, management and their administrative team.    The successful candidate will have a college diploma or university degree relating to Human Resources, Business Management, or Medical Reception; will possess 2 years of management experience, preferably in a medical office environment; and will possess 2 years of experience working as a medical receptionist, preferably in a primary care environment.  Special consideration will be provided to candidates with demonstrated experience with change management or implementing a new project of process.
