Permanent Full-time Nurse Practitioner – West Durham FHT (Pickering)

As a key member of the WDFHT, the Nurse Practitioner is part of an interdisciplinary team of health care providers in the Durham Region.  The Nurse Practitioner will help to increase access to primary care for patients by focusing on acute and episodic care as well as chronic disease management.  The Nurse Practitioner will also deliver services to a variety of patient populations with a focus on Smoking Cessation, Diabetes and health promotion.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as an RN-EC (extended class) – Primary Health Care
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a community setting is strongly preferred
  • Current registration with NPAO or RNAO and evidence of Professional Liability Insurance coverage
  • Certification in CPR (BLS-C)
