Administrative Support – Dufferin Area FHT (Orangeville & Bolton)

The Dufferin area Family Health Team is currently recruiting for 2 Full-Time Administrative Support professionals to join our team (1 position in Orangeville and 1 position in Bolton). These positions are a vital part of the Dufferin Area Family Health Team (DAFHT) and will work closely with our interdisciplinary providers, our patients, and our community partners to achieve the vision and mission of the organization.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Book patient appointments for various DAFHT allied health care providers
  • Greet and check patients in for appointments
  • Liaise with interdisciplinary providers and community partners on a regular basis
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required by the Executive Director

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work effectively with all health care team members
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in an electronic medical record
  • Ability to manage many tasks at one time
  • Ability to take direction from multiple providers and managers
  • Proficiency in the use of computer hardware and software (i.e. proficient use of Microsoft Office programs and electronic health records)
  • Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively and be flexible in a very active work environment
  • Effective communication skills-verbal, listening, written and presentation

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated experience in a primary care setting with family physicians booking patient appointments
  • Previous family health team experience a definite asset
  • Experience in an EMR is a must; use of Practice Solutions a definite asset.
