JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Health Services, the Administrative Director shall provide technical support and advice for the administration and operations of the Six Nations Family Health Team within the policies and procedures established by Six Nations Health Services, Human Services Committee and Six Nations Elected Council. Human Services Committee functions as the governance board for the Six Nations Family Health Team.; To assist the team members to plan, organize, and deliver primary care services in accordance with current applicable federal, provincial, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and assure that the highest degree of quality client care is maintained at all times within the policies and procedures established by Six Nations Elected Council.

SALARY RANGE: To be determined

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in Health Management, Business Administration or equivalent in a related discipline and at least 3 years demonstrated management experience working in a health care organization; OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Management, Business Administration or equivalent in a related discipline and at least 5 years demonstrated management experience working in a health care organization;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization;
  • Thorough understanding of and ability to apply current employment legislation and best practice HR procedures;
  • Working knowledge of governmental policies, programs, services and procedures at the federal, provincial, and regional levels relative to the delivery of Health Services;
  • High level of sensitivity to Indigenous health and social issues;
  • Strong knowledge of Six Nations Community and importance of culture as foundation as well as the ability to perform their role in a culturally safe way for staff and clients;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key issues and challenges to building a system of harmonized care with Western medicine and Indigenous health and wellness knowledge;
  • Excellent information technology skills including a proficient knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Programs, physician billing systems and Internet searches;
  • Experience working with an electronic medical record;
  • Exhibits a high degree of initiative and self-direction; good analytical and organizational skills;
  • Knowledge of current community challenges, and opportunities relating to the vision and mission of the organization;
  • Ability to work with tact and discretion, exhibits a high level of public relations skills and good project management skills;
  • Must have reliable transportation in order to attend various meetings at offsite locations.
